Thought I’d point you in the direction of some pretty ’sick’ websites.
Wallpaper – It’s a bit of everything, the main thing you want to check is their architechture sections. They also publish a magazine of the same name
Monster Children – Kinda where Wallpaper is coming from, that whole sleek young twenty-something writers who publish sleek shit. Monster Children aims a lot at “indie” fashion and the skate scene, they do get full of themselves at some points but the rest of the time.
Partizan – An online artist’s space that actually approaches artists and showcases their work. They’re also a film production company and advertising company. Michel Gondry and Nima Nourizadeh are up here.
Just helping out Luke ‘LC Beats‘ Cavalan on his Ben-Hur sized stop motion flick. Looks like he’s got the aid of paint company Ironlak. Check it out later, named Chaos On King Street. Also some dude named Teazer was in here before.
A lot of people seem to suprised they enjoyed the new Star Trek. Amazed they could understand. Don’t feel bad becuase it was such a broadly targeted film. State they, themselves, are not a Trekkie but still found it amazing.
This is the wonderful handy work of a director called Thomas Hilland, of course Hilland must of been incredibly stoned when he made this ad. I don’t believe it actually does anything…I might be missing something though.
A short video from Wallpaper, these guys are all about the architecture.
They’ve created a house operated by four tiny motors, like satchel bag size, and as thus it slides. Not slide, moves everywhere. Parts of it, the walls.
Of course it took a lot of money and country real estate in the UK, but just check it out and tell me you don’t want one.
